I signed up for a year-long sew-along about 6 months after it started, and I’ve been working to get caught up. The quilt is “Sedona Sky” by Sew Kind of Wonderful.

At the IQG retreat this past weekend, I bought some more green batiks and worked on my August blocks (no; I haven’t finished Jan-July!). This was a tough block to master, but I’m really pleased about how it turned out. Many of the blocks in the quilt use the Quick Curve Ruler – Mini, which is a great tool for cutting all sorts of curves. My colorway will vary a bit from the one shown above, but it’s similar. I’ll share more blocks in future posts.
August looks like quite a challenging block, but yours looks fantastic! It really is going to be a lovely quilt when it is finished.
